Dinner Speaker Series, Thursday 26 October, 5:15 PM,
St. Gregory Parish Hall (School Gym), 7 Owen St.

Speaker: Catherine Ecker, of Holy Family Parish, Bolton, Ontario

Catherine assists adults and families with school age children as they prepare to celebrate the sacraments of initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist). She coordinates the preparation process for families wishing to celebrate Confirmation, First Eucharist or the Sacrament of Reconciliation. An author of several books, Catherine will be speaking on the topic of Evangelization: Living as Disciples.

Dinner starts at 5:15 pm, and you’ll be out by 7:00 pm. Parishioners will be preparing the meal and dessert. At the end of dinner, there will be a free-will offering at the door as you leave.

Living as Disciples

God calls us into a new way of living through our participation in the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist).  We know
that Jesus evangelized and he sent his disciples out to evangelize.  Our session will draw inspiration from Pope Paul VI’s Apostolic Exhortation Evangelization in the Modern World.  As we reflect on the Church’s teaching we shall be invited to see evangelization through a new lens.
